Long Range High Powered Bridge/AP - 400mW/9dBi Patch Antenna
[OC400G-I9P]

The OC400G-I9P is a multi-functional high-powered unit that can be used either as a bridge or access point. The integrated unit contains a powerful 400mW raido with either a 9dBi directional patch antenna for maximum performance. By combining radio and antenna components in one stylish, easy-to-install unit, installation times and cost for network operators are dramatically reduced. The state-of-the-art components ensure robust, reliable service for years. The OC400G-I9P features the flexibility you need for various deployments such as 802.3af certified PoE (Power over Ethernet). Security features include 802.1x, EAP-TLS, and WPA/WPA2 to give you a peach of mind.

  • Compatible with 802.11b and faster 802.11g for heavy payloads
  • 400mW output power for excellent wireless performance and range
  • Integrated 9dBi directional patch antenna eliminates costly additional hardware (antenna, antenna cables, connectors) and provides easy installation
  • Multi-functional - can be used either as a wireless Bridge or Access Point for Point-to-Point or Point-to-Multipoint wireless connectivity
  • 802.3af Power over Ethernet for flexible deployment and cost savings
  • Supports 802.1x, EAP-TLS, WEP, WPA/WPA2 Security
  • IP67 rated (watertight and weatherproof) enclosure for true outdoor operation

Why Use a OC400G-I9P instead of a typical Radio and Antenna setup?

  • Eliminate Cabling
In a typical setup, the radio (Access Point or Bridge) is located inside the building while the antenna is mounted on the roof. Cabling, usually LMR400, and connectors are used to connect the antenna to the radio. Cabling and connectors introduces losses into the system, negating some of the gain an antenna introduces, and reducing your range and performance of your antenna. Not only, does LMR400 cable introduce loss into the system, but it can also be very costly. With the OC400G, the radio and antenna are integrated, eliminating any cabling between them and ensuring the highest performance possible. The only cable you would need is outdoor CAT5 going to the OC400G unit.
  • Cost Effective
You would normally have to purchase many parts in a typical wireless setup including the radio, wireless antenna, radio pigtails, feed cable, power over ethernet kit, NEMA enclosure, and lightning protectors. With the OC400G, it is the only thing you need. No more worrying about what type of connectors I need, how much coax cable I need, or where will I mount the radio.

Applications include:

  • Client equipment (Customer Premise Equipment) in a Point to Multi-Point wireless network
  • Use two OC400G's in Adhoc mode to create a Point to Point wireless bridge
